Pi & Sigma, Rakowicka 15A, Kraków
An infill building designed on a narrow, challenging plot adjacent to an existing listed palace. The distinctive form was generated using negative space and a desire to respect the neighbouring heritage structure. The gap between the existing and new building creates an internal courtyard. The ground floor of "Sigma" and the entire "Pi" building (the existing palace) serve commercial uses; the upper floors of the new building are residential. A large biologically active surface, a ground-floor garden and a green roof were proposed.
